Yoga Styles: Yin Yoga
Stillness in the body, steadiness of breath, calmness of the mind.
Yin Yoga is a way to balance the strong and heated yang practice like Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa or Vinyasa flow. It is ruled by the moon energy and enhances coolness and calmness in body and mind. In this passive and meditative yoga style poses are hold for a time period of one to ten minutes to fully access the yin tissues like joints and fascia.
The stillness of the body experienced in this yoga practice creates stillness of the mind and ultimately helps to realize our true nature.
